or, my excuse for not being on twitter enough

maybe, someday, these will be refiled into pages all their own.

i, once again, was on substack, reading, reading? scrolling? what's the difference between really engaging with content and just mindlessly following links? does wikipedia count? thinking, mulling over the current author's mention of zettelkasten, and i thought: "if writing is such an effective method of learning and thinking, i should finally start putting my own thoughts on the internet."

i do believe this. my most interesting thoughts, and the most powerful convictions i have, have come from extended long-form externalized thought. since emacs is so delightfully friendly, perhaps those sorts of thoughts will come more easily.

of course, that requires i actually have something to write about. at the moment, all that comes immediately to mind is… what i'm doing right now, which is the slightly insane choice to write with my laptop out on the nyc subway. unfortunately, fulton st. is next, so i won't get to actually finish a thought. at least no one seems to be staring; it's new york, after all.
